EU passenger car registrations were up a solid 14.6 percent in June, the manufacturers’ association ACEA reports. Nearly all markets were up, with volume markets Spain, France, Italy, Germany, and the UK +12.9 percent posting double-digit growth. Even troubled Greece was up 13 percent, as people with cash converted it into assets.
Ford, up 16.4 percent, participated in the growth. GM, up 7.5 percent, underperformed the market.
