German BEV sales, 3/24: Tesla craters, out-sold by 141 year-old dinosaur
Not a good March for German BEV sales. They dropped 28.9% on a share of just 11.9%. BEV-pioneer Tesla did worse: Its German registrations plunged a whopping 55% YOY, on sales of just 3,878 units. Imagine, Tesla sales crater in the last month of the quarter, when Tesla usually goes all-out.
Adding insult to injury, Tesla was out-sold in March by world’s most senior carmaker, 141 year-old Daimler Group. The #1 spot remains in possession of an 87 year-old automaker, Germany’s Volkswagen Group.
