EU Sales up 8 percent in second worst February in written history

You will hear this again a few times more: Car sales in Europe are up, “However, in absolute figures, the total of units registered marked the second lowest result to date for a month of February since ACEA began the series in 2003 with the enlarged EU,” says the EU automaker association ACEA.

Sales were up 8 percent in February, with most major markets registering a gain. Only France was down 1.4 percent. Among the manufacturers, the trends to lower cost wheels continues. Dacia was up 34 percent, Skoda gained 24 percent. BMW (+2.8 percent) and Daimler (+3.9 percent) underperformed the market. Full table can be found here.
