With only one more month to go in the race for World’s Largest Automaker 2020, Toyota cranked up its production, and passed Volkswagen – by a 27K hair. COVID-affected #1 and #2 are down by around 16% year-on-year, matching the global total industry volume, which likewise was down 16% January through November.

‘Tis the season when automotive news are down to the thinnest of flows, as auto execs around the world take their Christmas (or whatever they may be called) holidays. At the Daily Kanban, we follow traditions, and we take this opportunity to shut down our operations until next year, while wishing you all the loveliest of holidays. Usually, we at DKHQ hit the beaches in the tropics at that time, but this time, we’ll use the time to get fat, travel nowhere, and deal with our cabin fever by performing necessary maintenance on the Daily Kanban server.
